    Hi, Tobias,

I’m having difficulty with the table width on a table that contains a lot of data – over 2,500 rows. When the page first loads, the table appears to fit the correct width, but once the table fully loads, it expands to beyond the width of the page. The table is on here >> https://bit.ly/1RixljP

I’ve tried using the css styling in your faq without success. (https://tablepress.org/faq/column-widths/)

Other tables on the same site are fine.
We are running the latest version of WordPress and of the Tablepress plugin.

Do you have any other solutions?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

From what I can see, you are affected by https://tablepress.org/faq/js-functions-not-working/

    There’s a line

    <script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.6.2/jquery.min.js"></script>

in the page, which should be removed. From what I can see, it’s being added by a flexslider add-on in your theme.

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Success!

I created a separate header-home.php file so the flexslider code only appears on that page. I probably should have done this before.

Thank you. This remains one of the best supported plugins I’ve ever used.

On a related note – in the back end of TablePress, that particular table struggles to load which makes it very difficult to edit.
I suspect this simply because it has so many entries. Is there anything you can suggest that would resolve this?

    Hi,

no problem, you are very welcome! ?? Good to hear that this helped!

Yes, the long load time on the “Edit” screen is caused by the table size. I do have some ideas to make this faster, but it will still take time to implement this.

In the mean time, a workaround could be to only edit the table in e.g. Excel and then re-import it as a CSV file, whenever you made changes.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

P.S.: In case you haven’t, please rate TablePress here in the plugin directory. Thanks!
