• I’m noticing on some high traffic sites where we offer a free download for their email address that this table can get filled up really quickly. I’m not sure what this table is actually for as every page load adds a record to the table:

INSERT INTO 'wp_ebd_item' ('download_id', 'title', 'file')
VALUES ('DOWNLOAD ID#', 'DOWNLOAD TITLE', NULL)

Why is this being added to the database? With every page load it adds to the table, but then also wants to query the table for some reason:

    SELECT *
    FROM wp_ebd_item
    WHERE download_id = 'DOWNLOAD ID#'

Depending on traffic, this could be in the hundreds of thousands of lines in a matter of a week which increases memory usage for the site. I will just regularly empty out this table and my memory usage will drop from 200 – 350mb of memory used down to 70mb instantly.

What specifically is this used for? I see no reason for it and just adds unnecessary bloat. The download_log stores all the download history, but wp_etb_item does nothing.

The plugin author has disappeared but wondering if anyone else has come across this and has insight.

    Thanks
