Got about a dozen tables created with TablePress. On version 1.2. Something changed. Don’t know what.

When I go into edit any table, the ‘Table Content’ area where it used to show up is empty. No blank space… just nothing. Yet I can preview the table and see all the information.

Can you point me in the right direction to fix this?

Here’s my debug and version info:

    · TablePress: 1.2
    · TablePress (DB): 22
    · TablePress table scheme: 3
    · Plugin installed: 2013/01/10 17:50:47
    · WordPress: 3.7.1
    · Multisite: no
    · PHP: 5.3.27
    · mySQL (Server): 5.1.56-log
    · mySQL (Client): 5.1.63
    · ZIP support: yes
    · UTF-8 conversion: yes
    · WP Memory Limit: 40M
    · Server Memory Limit: 256M
    · Magic Quotes: off
    · WP_DEBUG: false

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

That sounds weird, and I don’t really know what could be causing this. If possible, I’d like to take a direct look at this on your site. Could you therefore please create a temporary admin account for me and send me the details via email (the address is in the main plugin file “tablepress.php”)? That way, I can investigate this directly. Thanks!

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi,

just for everybody following this thread, here’s the result of our direct investigation:

The table content area was simply minified.
You will notice that by clicking on the “Table Content” heading, you can toggle the visibility of the corresponding area.
I assume that you home clicked that and didn’t notice, and then the setting sticks until you click again.

    Tobias

I found this thread while searching for a solution to the size of the tablepress table fields in the table admin. On a different client site, I used verrsion 1.0, and the individual table cell fields in the table admin were large enough to see the full contents of each cell. For that client, we’re using tablepress for his restaurant’s menus.

But for the current client, I installed version 1.3. The cell fields in the admin area are tiny. I can only see a few characters. I could live with this by copying and pasting from a text editor, but my client will be editing the cells later, and he will not accept not being able to see the contents.

What can I do to force tablepress to display in admin the full contents of every cell?

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

My assumption here is that some other plugin is inserting CSS code into the TablePress admin pages (which is bad) that causes this.
