    Hi,
I am building a site for a local sports team and I want to have a page for Fixtures and Results. I have chosen Tablepress to do this (you might be able to advise of a better solution).

I am able to get Tablepress to do what I need it to (even if it is a very manual process to do a full season of fixtures).

I was wondering how to go about getting fixtures that have passed to be automatically removed the day after it has taken place ie for the system to recognise todays date and remove any entries that have dates prior to this.

Hope the above makes sense and any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Hi,

thanks a lot for your question!

Unfortunately, I have bad news ?? TablePress does not have the ability to remove or hide entries that have dates that are in the past. Such a feature would require more “dynamic” data handling capabilities, which are out of scope for the use case of TablePress. Sorry ??

Instead, you should consider a custom PHP/mySQL solution, with a database table that can then be queried for all entries that have a date that has not passed. I’m not aware of an existing plugin for this though, so you’ll have to develop this directly.
