Hi, I am using tablepress and j shortcodes plugins for my site. It seems that the j shortcodes plugin is interfering with the ‘sort’ ability of the tablepress table.
I’ve ascertained this by looking through other threads on problems with the tablepress sort ability. Advice on those was to tune off each plugin one by one until I discovered which one was the problem. With J shortcodes off, the sort ability returns.

I really need both of these plugins within my site. Do you know if there is some kind of fix for this?

    Thanks

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

Great to hear that you already found the plugin that is causing this.

To find out more details, or ideas on how to fix this, I’d like to experience and see the issue myself. Can you please post a link to the page with a table where the sorting is broken?

    Thanks!
    Tobias

    Hi,

thanks for the link. However, I can not find any issues. The sorting works as expected.
Or is the J Shortcode plugin currently deactivated? If so, please activate it again, so that I can experience the error.

    Regards,
    Tobias

Strange…it isn’t working when I look at it. No, the jshortcodes is not deactivated.

    Hi,

    that’s indeed strange then.

What browser are you using? Can you try in another browser?
Also, please log out of WordPress, before testing (or test in an “Incognito” browser tab), as being logged-in can sometimes show a different behavior, due to caching or other JavaScript being loaded.

    Regards,
    Tobias

    V. strange – jut looked at the site via my wife’s laptop (so not logged in) and it seems to be fine. So it is only when I am logged in that the jshortcodes interferes with the sorting ability.

Well, at least I know that visitors can use it ok.

    Thanks for your help Tobias.

    Hi,

    thanks for testing this.

Yes, then there’s something different in the JS when being logged-in.
If you want, you could try to further debug this with the help of
