    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

Yes! I don’t foresee any problems, as the new Gutenberg editor has no influence on the TablePress admin screens. In addition, it can still handle Shortcodes without problems.

I’ll update the “Tested up to” field as soon as possible!

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

This should not be caused by WordPress 5.0, but by a problem with the database. If possible, I’d like to take a direct look at this on your site. Could you therefore please get in touch via email (the address is in the main plugin file “tablepress.php”)? That way, I can investigate this directly. Thanks!

    Regards,
    Tobias

A client contacted me explaining that after updating to WP 5.0, one of their pages would no longer load. It’s the only page that uses a TablePress shortcode. Upon removing the shortcode, the page would load fine. The page gives the following error when trying to load with the shortcode:

    Inactivity Timeout
Description: Too much time has passed without sending any data for document.

All other pages load fine… TablePress 1.9.1, WordPress 5.0.1

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

This is most likely not caused by TablePress or WordPress directly, but is a server configuration issue. For some ideas regarding this, please see https://de.godaddy.com/community/Using-WordPress/Inactivity-Timeout-Description-Too-much-time-has-passed-without/td-p/33543#M6802

    @tobiasbg

How do I insert my tables that I have created with Tablepress in WordPress 5.0?

I cannot find the correct sequence to embed the tables in my post.

    Can you please help?

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

Just insert the Shortcode (you can copy it on the table’s “Edit” screen or type it in directly) into the “Shortcode” or the “Paragraph” block.

    Tobias

Hi @tobiasbg, thanks so much for the quick reply! WOW! I’m impressed with your speed!

You are really great at supporting users!

I did figure that out while I was waiting for your reply and I have embedded the tables successfully.

I have a further question, please look at my page here:

    https://www.ducatusbusiness.com/it/le-qualifiche/

I would like to remove the

“View 10 elements” with the drop down menu and the “Previous / Next ” buttons below each embedded table. How can I do that, please?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

you are very welcome! To remove these, just uncheck the “Length Change” and “Pagination” checkboxes on the “Edit” screens of these tables.

    Tobias
