    Hi Tobias

I bought the Tablepress auto import add on a while back. Initially I had problems getting the tables to import but after a lot of fiddling with crons, all now seems ok.

I have had 1 situation where the auto import was failing for a particular file. It was easy to solve by stopping the auto import system, then starting it again and adding back in the URL. The troops blue with that is, what happens if the tables aren’t updating on a site and nobody notices? Is there any way to send a notification email or get a notification some other way that would prompt the site owner to go into the site and get things started again?

I would happy pay for a plugin to the plugin if it allowed that feature btw.

    Thanks
    Simon

    Hi Simon,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

I see what you mean. The problem here is that when the import fails, it’s usually the script that’s failing, so that I stops. When that happens, it can obviously not send out a notification email about a broken import ??

The only way I see here would be to do the opposite, i.e. send notification emails when a table was imported/saved. You’d then however have to observe if all relevant emails arrive, in your inbox. For ideas on how to implement that, please see https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/custom-post-types-208/#post-6021466

    Regards,
    Tobias
