Is there an official Extension for a toggle function? If not, has anyone been able to embed a simple jQuery Toggle function into TablePress cells? Your help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

I’m not really sure what you mean here. What exactly do you want to toggle and when?

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi @tobiasbg,

Thanks for your response, and sorry for the delay — the notification e-mail got lost in my Inbox.

I mean that I would like to insert a “toggle” function in table cells. A link would read “Expand/Collapse” or “Show/Hide,” and users would click the link to reveal content, then click the link again to hide the content.

I am looking for the simplest way to do so, and know jQuery has functions available for it, but have not been able to get it working.

I hope that’s clearer, and look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks in advance for your help!

    Hi,

Sorry for the delayed reply, as I was on holidays, I could not answer earlier.

I see what you mean now. TablePress does not have a feature for this, and due to the many ways that users might want for this, it’s best to use a custom solution. You could try using an existing plugin for this, or a manual/code approach like https://tobias.baethge.com/2009/07/expandhide-accordion-feature-explained/

    Regards,
    Tobias
