    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

Unfortunately, I have no real clue why this happens, or what this means. This error is coming from a page that WordPress generates, so my assumption is that another plugin or maybe your theme is interfering here.

Could you therefore please try again after temporarily deactivating all other plugins (except TablePress) and switching to the WordPress default theme? Thanks!

    Regards,
    Tobias

Thanks Tobias, I will try to do this but I can’t do it straight away as this is on a live site.
Which raises a related issue. While investigating this problem, I have discovered that, having used “BackupBuddy” to migrate the site from a development area, the references to images that I created there, have not been updated and still refer to the development site.
If it helps, the site in question is https://www.maxsport.co.uk and the theme is a Headway child theme.
The table was originally created using WP-Table Reloaded

    Hi,

yeah, doing this on a live site is tricky :-/ You might want to do it during a time when there are not so many visitors, or maybe you can create a development copy of the site again.

About those image references: That’s kind of expected, because TablePress can not know that you moved the site, and does not automatically modify the content of the tables. The best way to do this might be to go directly into the database and do a search/replace on the tables there. And if this only affects a few tables, the best way might be to just change them manually on the “Edit” screen.

    Regards,
    Tobias

An update on my last post. The insert process does appear to work on the original unmigrated site. I am thinking there may be a reference somewhere within TablePress that is still looking at the old site.

    Hi,

no, TablePress itself does not store/refer to references of the site URL or similar. It always uses the up-to-date links of the current site.

    Thanks Tobias,
I have traced the problem to the CMS Commander plugin, which I added after the site went live. Fortunately, this made it quite easy for me to test by installing the plugin on the development site and then uninstalling it to confirm the test. It also means that it will be relatively simple for me to just de-activate the CMS Commander plugin on the live site when I’m adding images.

    Hi,

nice find! Great to hear that you found the reason for this! Most likely, that plugin is then doing something to the media upload form that prevents it from being loaded.

Temporarily deactivating that plugin should then indeed be the best solution for now.

    Regards,
    Tobias
