    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

Well, you can definitely create such tables with TablePress, but for some stuff, you will need customizations for other plugins.
Basically, TablePress will allow you to create the structure of the table, but for things like tabs you would need an extra Tabs plugin (I don’t feel that such a feature really belongs into a table plugin).
Adding buttons, links, or images into a table is possible in TablePress, but their styling will depend on your theme (or you would have to adjust the styling with CSS).

    Regards,
    Tobias

Great! I was trying to change the cell size of a 2 column 1 row table but even when I scroll the cells they always appear proportional. Do you have any documentation to understand how this plugin works?
    thanks

    Hi,

please take a look at the various section on the TablePress website at https://tablepress.org/
And remember that TablePress creates HTML tables, so pretty much everything that you can find for that keyword in a search engine applies as well.

    Hi Tobias,

Thankyou very much for the quick answer ! Sorry, I didn’t really think about the fact that there are no spaces in the words and hence it will not get wrapped by the browser! With your advice, I could get the sample data in shape.. The page looks perfect now:
    https://www.oracleappsvideos.com/this-is-a-test-page/

As displayed in this page, I wanted to display the table inside the page, not crossing to the widget area outside, and wanted to display the whole data with proper wrapping.

BUT, when I tried to load my actual data, I faced the issue again ?? Please see the below page, the data is crossing over to the widget area! I think it is because the “Description” column is having lot of words in it… But still, the data should get wrapped, as it happened for the first test page right?

    Hi Arun,

you probably wanted to reply to https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/tablepress-14-version-is-available-for-download?replies=6 right? But no problem ??

Good to hear that this explanation helped!
Yes, the same should happen in the other table, but for the same reason as before, the word-wrapping can not take place. The issue is in row 17, where you have several links to social networks. Those URLs are also written as one long line of text, without spaces, so that the browser can not add word-wrapping there. I suggest to insert line breaks or spaces between those links.

    Tobias

Ah.. sorry Tobias, I replied on the wrong thread (both were open, and got confused while replying)…

Am surprised how you are figuring out which row is causing the issue so quick ! Corrected the row 17 now, and it is appearing good ! Thank you very much !

    Hi,

no problem, you are very welcome! ?? Good to hear that this helped!

Well, I just saw that there are long URLs in that row and those usually cause this, as they are treated in the same way as a very long word ??

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

P.S.: In case you haven’t, please rate TablePress here in the plugin directory. Thanks!

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

For that, please take a look at the TablePress FAQ page at https://tablepress.org/faq/change-font-family-size-color/

Tobias, I am trying to add pictures as indicated in the plugin, but they do not appear after I upload. I tried in 2 pcs and it doesnt work in neither. Do you know what is happening?

Tobias, it was my problem, disregard my previous message.
I have another question: I was wondering if I could use pagination feature but instead of row pagination, column pagination.
This is the table I am making here: https://www.yinteriors.com/platform-beds/
My idea is to put the products on each column and the features on the rows. In order not to scroll, I would like to show 6 columns(5 products) and all the rows without pagination which are all the features of the product. And I want to have the option to press “next” and go to the next 5-6 columns

    thanks

    Hi,

I can see the two pictures in the table that you linked to. So, it looks like you were able to fix this already?

For the pagination on columns: No, sorry, I’m not aware of a solution for that ?? The DataTables JS library that TablePress uses only supports pagination on rows, from what I know.

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hello Tobias,

Im here looking for a way to use pagination on columns.. and it is really sad that we cannot do that ?? it really killed my whole flow…

Im suggesting to create an addon that could support that!!! After that, the addon is a complete solution!! Such an incredible and powerful plugin, it cannot be missing such a major thing!

If in any case have an at least temporarily solution to this please let us know!

    Hi,

I see what you mean, but unfortunately, this is not something that I can add directly to TablePress. Instead, it’s something that would have to be done in the DataTables JavaScript library from https://www.datatables.net/ that TablePress uses for the sorting, search, pagination, etc.

    Regards,
    Tobias

But doesn’t datatables support column pagination?? Last time I checked it could.. Can you please have a look or advice please ??
