    Hi @imoullet

Thanks for reaching out. Let me help you with this one.

Have you recently installed The Events Calendar plugin for the first time, or was there a previous version already installed?

If this is the first time the installation has been done, the required tables will be created accordingly. If a previous version has already been installed, you will need to go through the migration.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have further questions or concerns.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your reply.
The plugin has been installed on our multisite instance some time ago ( version prior to 6.0) and it has been upgraded regularly . It is not network activated but indeed individually activated on some sites and not activated on some other sites.

On the specific site ( wp.unil..ch/scratch) I sent you the system info report for, it has never been activated before since it is a newly created site. Indeed in the settings I have not the Upgrade tab to update the events tables and create the custom tables.

Anything else I could try ?

    Thanks

    Hello @imoullet,

    Thanks for your reply.

According to your system information, there was an error during migration

    Custom Tables Health Check

    Missing?Event?Table Data | Missing?Occurrences?Table Data |?Event?Table Missing |?Occurrences?Table Missing

Here’s what you need to do:

    I hope that helps.

OK But I do not understant why you talk about migration I simply tried to activater for the first time the plugin on one of our 300 sites.

You’ll understand that it is impossible for me to do the reverse migration ( while I NEVER did any migration on any of my 300 sites ). on each site.. Tle plugin is activated individually on some sites not all of them ..

You do not see any other way .. in particular in the DB to solve the problem.

Indeed I have another multisite instance with exactly the same plugins and the same WP config on which everything works fine..

    Best

    Hello @imoullet,

I’ve checked and it looks like your calendar page is empty – https://share.zight.com/2Nu856LR.

Multisite Networks can be complicated because there are many inheritances, so there may have been some mix-up somewhere. The good thing is that redoing the migration would be quick since there are no events (or so it seems).

That being said, would you mind redoing the migration and let me know?

Excited to hear back from you.

    Hello

Sorry for the late response but last Monday was a day off here ..

In fact I am NOT able to do any migration of any kind , nor reverse migration nor direct migration sins I have no Events > Settings > Upgrades Tab in my case.

That is the case for all sites where I simply activate the TEC plugin.. In every case the _tec_tables are not created and I have no way to reverse migration or make the migration.. as the plugin was not activates before

So what else could I do ?

    Thx

I could make some more tests and the following workarouns works for a TEC plugin activation on one of my sites:
    1. activate TEC plugin
    2. make a reverse migration via code snippets . I cannot do it via Settings > Upgrade tab since I have NO upgrade tab but it looks like the tec plugins is activated the old way by default ie with no _tec_ custom tables created. That is the problem I think
    3. create an event . With no event I cannot do the migration
    4. make the migration. This time I can do it via Settings > Upgrade tab. At this point only the custom _tec_tables are then created.

You’ll understand the workaround is quite heavy and moreover we are in trouble since we let the site administrator to choose wether or not to activate TEC plugin.

Hope this helps you to identify more precisely where the problem occurs.. I think somewhere in the DB TEC plugins is told to work the old way but no idea where .. In a sitemeta table ?

    PLease help !

    Hi,

I think I cannot post directly on your helpdesk since I have no licence actually ( free license)

In my case too, I also have the problem only one 2 of my 4 multisite instances we are actually running and thinking of it, the only difference I could see is that the TEC plugin may have been network activated once by error on the troubleshootng instance. MAy this help for any diagnostic ?
