    Hi,
I use this plugin on all my sites as it’s really good.

But recently get this when running the plugin:

    Optimization: Optimize database tables

Notes: Tables using the InnoDB engine (37) will not be optimized. Other tables will be optimized (0).”

It won’t let me select the top option ‘Optimize database tables’ to optimise.

    Can you please help?

    Hi,

In the recent update to WP-Optimize, we added functionality to Not Allow optimizations on InnoDB tables. This is because the process on optimizing InnoDB tables at default is ineffective as it essentially rebuilds the entire table.

There are hosting providers that have setup the MySQL configuration in a certain way to which optimizing InnoDB tables is effective However, we are currently working on a solution to detect to see if they are available and if not have an option, IF the user requires, to override the lock so you can optimize the table.

This should hopefully be in a release soon.
