Tabs in tabd and dropdown menu conflict

Please link to the affected page on your site so I can see whether there are any obvious clues in regard to a possible conflict with the dropdown menus plugin.

Nested tabs are not supported; they was not part of the scope when the plugin was created.

Ive included many cases – only dropdown, dropdown which includes tabby, tabby which includes dropdown.
By the way – dropdown IN tabby is shown but when you change menus nothing happenes. May be tabby dont get “live” invo from ajax?

Tabby Responsive Tabs enqueues & uses the copy of jQuery included in WordPress. This is version 1.11.2 served from /wp-includes/js/jquery

Your site does not load jQuery 1.11.2, but does load an outdated version (v1.7.2) from https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.7.2/jquery.min.js instead which is likely to break plugins expecting the later version.

Find out which plugin loads that version of jQuery and remove it so the correct version of jQuery can be loaded.

As I suspect the out of date copy of jQuery is causing the problem you need to perform some simple troubleshooting to find out why it is there.

First temporarily switch to the default twenty fifteen theme to check whether the issue was caused by the theme. If you still get the issue with the default theme, switch back to your original theme.

Disable all plugins except for Tabby Responsive Tabs. Check that the plugin works on as described on the plugin page its own.

Then enable your dropdownmenus plugin. If the issue occurs with just these two plugins there is a problem with the dropdownmenus plugin which you can ask the author to look into

If the two plugins work together at this point it means that another plugin was causing the problem and reactivating them one by one, checking the site each time will enable you to identify which one.

Tabby and dropdown together cant be used with any theme (i`ve tried).
I`ve disabled all plugins except dropdown and saw that it dont work with some themes.
But in all cases tabby and dropdown cant be used at once. I think this is because dropdown uses dynamic info (added pages in it) and tabby cant update it.
Finally – can be nested tab added to tabby? Is that possible (i know that at the moment this option is not included)?

Nested tabs are not possible with Tabby Responsive Tabs. I cannot think of any use-case where I would use nested tabs in my own projects as I do not think it woukd be good for usability or accessibility. It may be able to add that functionality, but I would only be able to spend time on it if someone commissioned the work.

I have now had a chance to install the dropdown plugin onto one of my test sites.

Now I have seen it I don’t think that plugin will work with any shortcode plugin as the shortcodes cannot be processed when the page content is loaded via ajax.

Could you resolve this? Its important for me because i should make a decision – use dropdown or just make buttons.

It should be possible to make a customised version of the Tabby Responsive Tabs plugin to add support for nested tabs, however I don’t know whether a fix would be possible for what I suspect is the limitation of the ajax dropdown plugin where shortcodes can not be processed in the content.
