I actually have a few questions I am desperately seeking help with.

First, one of the tabs across the top of my actual page needs to be deleted. When I am on my “pages” section, it’s literally no where to be found. I checked everywhere actually and nothing. When you click the tab, it states “It seems we can’t find what you’re looking for. Perhaps searching can help.” Any ideas, please?

Secondly, How can I place contact information and/or photos on the right column where the plug ins are located? On the right, for example, right now shows social media contact links, etc. I’d like to place our contact info. there and possibly a photo or two.

Last, but certainly not least, I need to rename the title “BLOG” to “HOME” and make it the first selection (Place where the “ABOUT” tab is now) and I need it to be the first page to load up when visiting our site.

Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

  • Dear sfischer.bcm,

Can you please provide link to your website?
Judging on just the information you provided please try the following:

For your first and last question:
When you are in your Admin Panel click Appearance -> Menus.
As I assume that with tabs you refer to navigational menu items you should be able to edit them there.

When in the Menus section locate the item you want to remove. Click on the little arrow and delete it.

Renaming can be done in the same Menus field and you can actually put the name you want in the ‘Navigational Label’ field.

Moving positions can be done by easily dragging and dropping.

For making your desired page the first page to load up when visiting your website’s main URL go to:

Admin Panel -> Settings -> Reading -> Front page displays
Click the radio button under ‘A static page (select below)’ and under Front Page select the desired page.

    For your second question:
Go to the Admin Panel -> Appearance -> Widgets
and select the ‘Text’ box and drag it to the appropriate section. There you can add the information you like.

I hope this helps. Please mark this topic as resolved if it does.

    Kind regards,

    CS_WordPress
