Hi, maybe someone can help me. I’ve added pictures to my library. When doing this i also add a tag and the alt text. But when i upload the picture to my website the tag and alt text don’t show up. Is this a setting issue?

Are you using a plugin that alters default behaviours in the editor? I just inserted some media to a post on the latest WP and it comes through fine. There might possibly be a conflict.

That is theme dependent. The theme must tell WP to pull that content into the html.

The picture is in the content container and i am using the basic theme.

And i use the themify builder tool. For the sidebar pictures and text I use a plugin called Per Page Sidebars.

ho, maybe i completely misunderstand this, but when i point my mouse on the picture i see nothing.or do i do something wrong?

You should not see anything.

Internet Explorer used to show the alt tags on mouseOver. But that is not something you will see in modern browsers as that is not the purpose of alt tags.

Alt tags are to tell screen readers what the image is. Like a description for blind people.

If you want a little pop up text box when you hover over your images look into a tooltips plugin.
