Hi. I really love your plugin idea and had been using it until I ran into a problem. I was using Post Snippets to manage URL’s embedded throughout my content, such as

    [mytext]

    and

    [mytext]

It would insert spaces at some point and mess up the URL.

What I wanted was to combine the capability of Post Snippets with a URL Alias management tool like Simple URLs so that I could define the URLs and URL aliases using snippets and snippet parts, and manage both the external and internal links all in one place and one visual tool. That would also mean that snippets could be embedded in other snippets.

    Any way to achieve this?

The posting stripped out the examples I write above, but they were supped to be

    <a href="[myprotocol][mydomain]/[mypath]?[myparameters]">[mytext]</a>
    and

    [mytext]

I’m not sure if this will work, just one way to find out: try it.

It would insert spaces at some point and mess up the URL.

Could there be spaces at the beginning or end of the snippet content?

There were no spaces in the snippet, but if I ever edited the content where the snippet was used either the editor or parser or something was adding spaces.

Are snippets designed to be able to be embedded within other snippets recursively?

No, this is not a situation that we test.

S could I recommend that you allow/enable embedded (recursive) snippets

Yes, I’ll look into it ??
