How should I write the tags if I want this kind of listing of events?

    Event 1 (2 hour meeting)
    [start-date][start-time][location][description]

    Event 2 (whole day)
    [start-date][location][description]

Event 3 (several days, like holiday)
    [start-date][end-date][location][description]

I can’t get it to work properly. Now I get my holiday-event listed as TWO multi-day events. It seems that a multiple-days-event also counts as a whole-day-event. (?)

You can try using the [when] tag in place of all the start/end date tags. Check out the documentation here: https://docs.simplecalendar.io/event-template-tags/

    Thanks!
It looks better now, but I still have problem with multiday-event (like ‘Holiday’) which now is listed two times in my list of the three upcoming events.

you can see the calendar listing on:

    <strong>[title]</strong>
    <p>[when]. [location]. [description]</p>

Do you have the option for “Expand multi-day events” enabled? If you do then that will make it show on each day it runs. If you want it to show only once then you can disable that setting.

Thanks! Now it looks much better. But the event listed as full-day and multi-day event to 10 January is not listed at all.

It’s not even listed on the first day that it starts? What date does it start on?

The event in my calendar started 29th December and ends 10 January. But event 11 January is the first listed on my website.

And just to double check – do you have the expand multi-day events option enabled or disabled?

    Disabled

Ah ok. If it is a mutli-day event and you want to show it beyond the first day you will need to enable to “expand multi-day events” option for it to show on the other days.

I am going to assume this has been resolved since there has not been a reply here recently. Please let us know if you need any further assistance.

    Thanks!
