Tagcloud shortcode is not delivering images

@sandalsand – What are the differences between the two sites, perhaps there is a conflict on the non-working one based in those differences.

Very identical actually. Same theme, same plugins, same versions of all. Even the same NextGen settings.

I tried to flush caches, change theme, deactivate plugins. No result.

I’m also having an issue with images not showing in the
[ngg_images album_ids=”2″ display_type=”photocrati-nextgen_basic_extended_album”] or even “compact” shortcodes. Thumbs do not show and click on them results in the same Home page as with the tagcloud.

(I have tried to insert via the Green button, but to no avail)

@sandalsand – If all is the same with the WordPress installation, perhaps it is something in the server environment that is different?

The case of all things being equal would indicate NextGEN Gallery would behave the same in all cases, that NextGEN Gallery is working as expected in one and not the other would point to a difference potentially causing the problem(s).

Logically, yes. There may however be some details that are different, obscure things to an amateur like me. By the way, here are the links to the good and the bad site both with the same Tagcloud shortcode:

The sites are hosted on the name shared server (iPage).

@sandalsand – The most significant difference I can see from the front end is the language component … did you create the Norwegian site from the English version of the site?

No, the Norwegian is a separate Norwegian language WP installation.

Beware, this has worked perfectly in the past. A few days ago, prior to my problems, I changed thumbnail sizes (from 90×120 to 120×120) on the problematic (Norwegian) site. Could this influence the result?

@sandalsand – Changing the thumbnail sizes should not affect the site like you are seeing … what else has changed prior to the last time you saw the tags working correctly?

There might be some database trouble: I renamed a few folders (=galleries) on the server. NGG didn’t handle this so I deleted the folders/galleries, reuploaded the images to new galleries and fixed the gallery-to-album links. This works fine when inserting images into posts etc.

Can’t think of anything else….

@sandalsand – Making these changes outside of the NextGEN Gallery UI may be partly creating this issue … have you tried using the Reset Option under Gallery > Other Options and then clearing the image cache under Gallery > Other Options > Miscellaneous?

I tried to clear the image cache several times. But I hadn’t clicked the Reset button first. It worked!
