tags and line breaks are not Saved

Hi, the steps are as follows:

Create ordered or unordered list
add some words to the list
add some linebreaks either with enter, shift enter or adding <br> tags
add an image after that

The line breaks and <br> tags will disappear. I do not think this is unique to my installation.

there was supposed to be a linebreak on top and bottom of the highlighted text between the images.
