I recently started using SSP. It’s a bliss.

One question. I add tags to my podcasts, so keep track of which artists I play most frequently. I use the default tag cloud widget to show these artists (see https://www.doodenverderf.nl/, right widget bar, ‘meest gedraaide artiesten’). Once clicked, they don’t show the podcast results (https://www.doodenverderf.nl/tag/abhorrent-decimation/). Apparently, tags are created when you create a podcast, but podcasts don’t show up in the default display of linked articles to tags.

Can this be solved? And if so, how?

    Hi there

So sorry for only getting back to you now on this. Thank you for your kind words!

Please navigate to ‘Podcast’ -> ‘Settings’ and check the checkbox labelled ‘Post’ next to ‘Podcast Post Types’. Does this help at all?

Hi there! Thanks for the response.

Nope, this was already checked. A solution would be much appreciated, since I know have tags that are empty, both for the internal search engine as for external ones.

Just to make sure that I make myself clear:

https://www.doodenverderf.nl/podcast/dood-verderf-december-2017/ contains the tag ‘tribulation’. But if I click it (https://www.doodenverderf.nl/tag/tribulation/), then the results are empty. So the podcast episodes do create tags, but they’re not properly coupled to the posts that contain them.

    Any help would be appreciated!

To whom it may concern: the solution is to create posts instead of podcasts. See also https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/wordpress-tag-for-episode/#post-10437396

Version 1.19.10 of the plugin was released today, which fixes the tags issue. Now when viewing the tag archive, you will see both posts and podcasts.

And how can we show the tags in the Episodes?

    Hi Elias,

Are you trying to display the tags on the front end of your site for a particular podcast? Should be controlled by your theme settings and how/where you display tags, particularly for Custom Post Types if you’re using a non-Post post type to publish your episodes.

I want to show them in all episodes of the podcast, and I’m using the native custom post type podcast from the plugin. If you allow me to set them, why not showing them or allow to do it with a setting?

    Thanks!
