• Current version of MailPoet, fresh install.

Sending my first preview of a post. In both the editing pane and in the resulting email, the header tags in the post (<h2>, <h3>) are not being preserved. The text is there, but when I inspect the element in the browser of via dumping raw HTML, the <H> tags are missing.

For added testing, I even configured (in the “styles” section) the <H2> tag (which is plainly in the post being tested) to 72pt in purple … nada.

What do I need to to to preserve the header tags in auto-generated

  • There’s no way to preserve your Post HTML. The resulting HTML must be compliant with different email clients, that’s why MailPoet strips all HTML inside a post. You can only use the styles available on the Styles tab of the newsletter editor (Step 2).

Understood, but as noted in the original post, the styles set in step-2 are not being reflected with. Styles Heading 1, heading 2 and Heading 3 are not preserved and the changes as defined within MailPoet have zero effect.

So, this is a rather extreme defect and the product is not working as your describe.
