    Hi, nice day.
I hope you understand my question, my English is not good
I’m starting to build a small image bank. I noticed that the keywords entered in the metadata of the image file, and tags appear in NG.
However if you do a search in the blog search, no results appear.
What should I do so that the keywords are found by searching the blog?

Thank you very much for any help, greetings!

Have you filled in the following boxes in the gallery ?

Alt & Title Text / Description

    Tags (comma separated list)

    Gallery->Manage Gallery

    Select any Gallery

Next to the thumbnail you’ll see the :

Alt & Title Text / Description

    Tags (comma separated list)

Make sure you put keywords in those boxes.

    Good luck.

Hi, thanks for your response DoubleSixx. The points you mention are fine.
Actually I think it all works well, I’ll try to better formulate the question.
When editing the pictures (in Lightroom in my case) I incorporated keywords that are then find Internet search engines, and the same with the photos I order my own. Keywords are the heart of an image bank.

The blog finder ignores this metadata. Search through the titles of the galleries, and between keywords specific to WP added when create a post, but not those within the metadata of each image file.

I need to search into these metadata. It could be making with the WP search the note, or other specific search for it.
Will there be a plugin to perform this task?
Or else what would be the way to accomplish this?
It is rare that there is not any solution for this, because it is basic for a site selling images.

    Any help is welcome!
    Greetings and thanks from ya!

I read the article it is very good and clarified me some points. I confirmed that I am incorporating metadata correctly in Lightroom, which is imported successfully to NG.
However using [nggallery id = 1 template = caption] the descriptions appear in the enlarged photos, but not at the bottom of the miniature as in the example.
I’m using the theme Twenty Twelve is it equipped with the necessary template? Is it possible to import this template? I saw that article is from Photocrati, is this a proper function of that theme?
I had been watching the themes of Photocrati and is in my plans the option to buy, if I see the site easier to perform, but I dont found a complete description of the features offered.

Neither got the blog finder find keywords metadata imported from Lightroom.

Thank you again, I realy apreciate your help!

I’m truly sorry, I don’t use Lightroom so I really don’t know. Hope you find a solution.

    Good luck.
