I am having a problem with tags and a set of images that were once uploaded, then deleted, then the cache cleared, then re-uploaded, but the tags remain the original ones for all of the original images.

    1. I uploaded an original set of images.
    2. I then deleted the images (and even deleted the gallery to test another way).
    3. I then cleared the cache under misc.
    4. I then recreated the gallery (with the same name) and reuploaded the images, but after uploaded, the tags are the original tags, and not the new ones.
    5. I have checked the tags on the image files many times with bridge to ensure the correct tags are there and the old tags don’t exist anymore in association with the actual images. The correct tags are present.

Do you know why this might be happening. It seems like nextgen is remembering the filename with the old tags and applying the old tags and not recognizing and importing the new tags.

Do you know how I can solve this. Thank you.

    Hi @trvsgrant,

NextGen shouldn’t remember the image tags if deleting then re-uploading the images. Could you please make sure that the images you upload don’t have these tags added within the images’ meta? NextGen will automatically extract and populate the tags on uploading from the images’ meta if such exists.

If nothing from the above helps, you are welcome to drop us a line at https://www.imagely.com/report-bug/
