Tags not saved on Posts/CPT

    Hi,

    I’m running version 1.1.5 of plugin (the latest I can get through WP Updates) and I just narrowed down the issue we have to Polylang (we have 2 languages on site):

    When creating new posts or custom post type posts we are adding tags. But somehow not all of them are saved. For example given we have 5 tags “studijos, paskaitos, ne?galieji, pri?mimo s?lygos” only the last one would be saved.

    When I disabled Polylang all of those previously mentioned tags are saved.

    We have around ~55k posts (~2k records in wp_terms) on the website, so I need some sort of sensible way to fix it. If I would have to go manually through 2k terms its fine, but going through 55k its definitely not an option.

    Let me know if you need some more details or have some script to collect debug data.

    Does it work with standard posts?

    No it fails on standard posts as well. It might save some keywords but not all (refer to example in previous post).

    Just to make sure. You add tags using the “tags” metabox on the right side when editing a post.
    Do the tags appear in the list and then disappear when you save the post?
    Does it happen when creating new tags or when choosing existing ones or both?

    It might save some keywords but not all

    Is always only the last one saved ? Or did you experiment different situations?

    Could you make tests with only Twenty Twelve and Polylang activated? If it does work, could you check if the conflict is coming from your theme or another plugin?

    Yes, I’m using tags metabox – a complete standard wordpress widget for posts/CPT.

    Yes you can see all of them when added, but once you click publish or update some of them simply disappear. I think it might be that the ones not available in drop down/autocomplete list are not added as expected.

    >Activated Twenty Twelve and the problem persists. There is no other plugins activated just Polylang and once deactivated it allows to save those tags I mentioned in first post.

    I found a use case which produces the issue you describe which should be fixed now in the development version (1.1.5.4). Tell me if it solves the issue for you too.

    Seems to be working great! One more question, will these change will be include in the upcoming releases or I should lock plugin to this development version to avoid any problems in future?
