    Good day,

I have recently subscribed to Aweber to improve my email list options. One of the things that I am most excited about is the opportunity to do blog broadcasts. These allow me to put my blog posts right in my subscribers’ inboxes.

To do this, the Aweber service pulls the post material from between the <content> tags using my rss feed. Unfortunately though, my blog posts don’t seem to add those <content> tags by default.

Is there any way that I can ensure that those tags do appear in the source code of my post?

I’d be delighted if you could help me with this.

    Kind regards,
    Petrus

  • Hey,
WordPress makes the feed by default: For example: https://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue/feed/

Thats the theme demo. Can you post to your site? What is your feed looking like?

    Hi,

The feed is no problem. It is given by https://www.kknovel.co/feed/. The trouble is that the <content> tags don’t appear within the feed.

I suppose that is a WordPress deficiency, but I would like to know if I can somehow work around that with the Virtue Theme.

I asked the Aweber support team about this issue, and they said I should contact my developer. Thus it made sense to ask you guys.

in your settings > reading. Do you have full post set for the feed?

I just checked and it was set to “summary.” I fixed that though, but it doesn’t seem to add the tags I’m looking for.

Is there some way to update the feed, or should that happen automatically?

    Thanks,

    Hey,
I just looked and I see <content> in your feed now?

    Hi Kadence Themes,

Yes, with your suggestion, new posts do add the content tag. You’ve been a great help, thank you.

    Kind regards,
    Petrus

As a matter of interest, is there any way to control the “resize” command for images within the RSS feed?

Now that I have my “content” tags, I am able to send the newsletter with all the content of my latest blog post. However, the image width that is just right in a blog post is too large for a typical email.
