• Here is a visual example that shows what I try to accomplish.

Basically, I need a big part in the top to be an html page like I already designed and put to html code.
Then underneath that I want to have a WP blog that will just show some articles and categories. No header as I already made that part. You’ll see what I mean when you look at the image.

Any suggestions would be great guys
    It’s much appreciated

  • For a while, before converting a site to wp, I ran it wp in an i=frame within the html page.

    I got this from a search, https://xxiis.wordpress.com/2007/05/29/embedding-your-blog-in-your-own-site-with-iframes-and-more/

I see what you mean, using the i-frame. I can certainly give this a try.
But you also said “before converting a site to WP” presuppositioning that its possible to do this, how could I go about doing this?
Is there a way of placing my html code into wordpress and have it implemented?

wmatla, there are several ways to do this. Just depending on what you want to accomplish really. I would suggest creating a new custom template and call it for every instance in your site. But without any real specifics of what you are trying to do then there is no way really to give you the best advice.

No. But with wp and css you can build the same thing you can with html.
I didn’t know much about css so I used html in header and footer php (wordpress) files but now because of new browsers like FF4 and IE9 I am changing again going towards all css.
