Take an entire wordpress site down

  • Hello,

    I currently run two sites through wordpress using the Averis theme. One of our companies has gone out of business and I need to take the website down entirely and if possible have the web address redirect to our other website. I have no IT background and I handle our website simply because can on the easiest out of all of our 9 employees. Can anyone help me figure out how to take the website down?

    Great question. How would I determine whether or not I have this? Google informs me that FTP has to do with transferring files between computers on a network? We have an in-house server, does that make a difference?

    FTP is file transfer protocol. You can use FTP to transfer your files from your computer to the server hosting your website. FTP lists all files on the server for your domain.
