taking security precautions

Hello,
I have a social media/community website and am trying to increase my security. Would it be safe for me to use the same main admin account to interact with members or would it be safer to have two separate accounts where one of them is hidden from the public? My concern would be if someone tried to hack my main admin account.
What are other security measures i should consider?
