• Is there an option in the script that the whole site can be offline? I don’t want to delete the work I’ve done but the owner of the site is having a meltdown and wants me to take the link library offline. I’d like to be able to “turn it back on” when she cools off. I looked through several of the menus and didn’t recognize any options to do this. TY!

I’m not really sure what you mean. Do you have a single page with an instance of a Link Library or a bunch of pages? Is there other content on the site besides Link Library that needs to remain online? If it’s the entire site, maybe just using a plugin to put it under construction?

This domain has a forum and a photo gallery that are their own scripts. Then I have the link library. I just want the link library to not be seen at the moment. I wasn’t really thinking about it from the WordPress level…. was thinking about it from the Links Library plugin level. I did just find where you can “deactivate” the plugin from WordPress. Does that delete the links? Or will they be there if I reactivate the plugin?

Deactivating Link Library will not delete the links and will also preserve the plugin options. If you use the Delete function, it will delete all options for the plugin, but the links will still be present.

That being said, if you used one or more of the Link Library shortcodes on your site, you will also need to go through all pages where they were used and remove them. Or unpublish these pages. Otherwise, you’ll see a bunch of shortcodes on various pages.

Let me know if this helps and consider donating to support this plugin’s development.

    Thank you!

Here’s what I get when I deactivate the LL.

Exactly. That is the shortcode that I said would appear by deactivating the plugin.
