Talk about upsell!

  • Maybe this plug-in works brilliantly — I was actually looking for another plugin with a similar name when I accidentally installed this. Still, how hard is it to build an effective plugin that displays a maintenance page? It was already installed, had good reviews…why not!

    I had to wade through so much flashy “BUY THE PRO VERSION!” stuff that by the time I found the actual “just turn the site off with a message for a while” core functionality I decided to go back to a simpler version I used to use.

    Maybe this is the best simple coming soon plug-in EVER. I’ll never know, because I can’t stand the WalMart-and-garland approach to plugins.
