• Hi-First time user here, please help! I am working in the Tango theme from Bavotasan. I was messing with the code piece for the footer, deleted the “BAVOTASAN_THEME_NAME” from:

    <?php wp_footer(); ?>
    <!–<?php echo; BAVOTASAN_THEME_NAME >created by c.bavota – https://themes.bavotasan.com –>
    </body>
    </html>

    And when I put it back a second or 2 later, all of my widget, link lists and sliders were gone, as well as the entire footer. It now looks as it does above, I am nearly positive thats how it looked when I cut out the piece, but nothing works anymore.

    I have been told if I can get into Bluehost I can find the original footer code and just paste that in, however the college with that info is out.

    I just want it to go back to normal, I don’t even want to mess with the footer anymore! Any suggestions welcome, thanks in advance!

  • Go back to where you downloaded the theme from, download it to your desktop and find the footer.php file.

    Making changes directly to theme files is not recommended.

    After you’ve fixed your footer back to normal, Try it again, but create a child theme first.

    Thanks! I am waiting on the return of my co worker to give me the password to the site where he purchased it, I should be able to download it from there again correct?
