    Hello!

I just discovered an issue with the main menu for my website on my mobile phone. If you open the menu at the top of the page and tap “Scripture” (for example) it will open a page in the sub-menu rather than opening the sub-menu itself. On my PC I hover over this menu item to open the sub-menu. This never was an issue on my mobile until now.

Right now the URLs for the menu items with sub-menus are set to blank. I tested this on 3 android phones and the issue occurs in all of them. I cleared the cache on my phone and the issue still occurs. My plugins, themes and WP are up to date. The theme I am using is Fundraising Charity Campaign.

    Thank you for your help!

  • The URL is probably not set correctly in the menu administration. Have a look under Appearence > Menu to see if the menu items are set up correctly there. If you are unsure, remove and reapply.

Incidentally, another reason for the missing link can be that the link destinations no longer exist or are not publicly accessible. So take a look in the menu management to see which link targets they have and whether the relevant pages (under Pages > All Pages) have the status “Public”.

Hello, thank you for your quick reply.

I believe the URL is set correctly (along with all of them). All menu items are set correctly as well. Each menu item with a sub menu is a custom link with no URL entered. I tried entering “#” as the URL but the issue still occurred.

As for the pages, all are public but the menu items like “Scripture” or “Early Church” are custom links.

I was just testing the menu out. It’s acting funny. If I tap on “Scripture”, sometimes the sub-menu opens and sometimes it leads to a page in the sub-menu.

I also notice that every time I tap open the main menu the “Early Church” sub-menu is fully open. I should have to tap “Early Church” to open its sub-menu.

I removed the “Scripture” and “Early Church” custom links and reapplied them but that didn’t work unfortunately.

    Hi @threadi ,

I just wanted to check in to see where we are at with this. The issue still occurs for me.

    Thank you,
    Therese

For me, only “The Eucharist and the New Testament” is not clickable – neither on desktop nor on mobile. From my point of view, there is simply no link as a target.

Since the menu is generated by your theme, I would recommend you to contact the support of your theme. They also have a forum for this here: https://www.ovationthemes.com/support/ovations-themes/
