target=_blank

I’m using wordpress mu. The html editor strips out “target=_blank” code. This is true whether you uncheck “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” at Options –> Writing –> Writing Options.

I’ve read this article. I’d like to see a fix for the problem. I rely heavily on opening documents in new windows using the target=blank method.

I’d like to add this: onclick=”window.open(this.href, ‘_blank’); return false;” to replace the target=”_blank” in the html editor. Rather than try to reinvent the wheel, has anyone already got a quick edit recipe in the wordpress html editor?
