Tax at PayPal Checkout instead

  • I want taxes to be added at my PayPal checkout instead of with the Sunshine cart, is it possible and how do I set Sunshine Photo Cart up to allow it?

  • Simply do not set any Tax settings within Sunshine. Although this might be a surprise to customers when they get to PayPal and not at all recommended.

    I’ve tried that and it’s not working, an I missing something in the settings?
    I’m under general tab where it says “Do not use taxes”.

    I spoke to PayPal before posting here yesterday to confirm I had everything set up correct on that end and they confirmed. I also tested using a PP button to confirm.

    My customers shouldn’t be surprised if they read because I am putting it clearly that shipping and taxes will be processed by my PP checkout.

    What are you seeing when you have the settings at Do not use taxes?

    Sorry, but I’m not sure what you mean… what am I seeing where?

    Go to Sunshine > Settings and set your taxes to “Do not use taxes”. When you do that, are you seeing tax being applied at all when going through the checkout process in Sunshine?

    No tax gets added in the Sunshine cart and no tax gets applied at my PayPal checkout.

    So as I was trying to explain, if I use Sunshine cart with no tax, not tax gets added even at my PayPal checkout which I want it to and it should…

    I have tested using a simple PayPal button and the tax gets added at my PayPal checkout fine.
