I’m setting up fresh WordPress webshop using WooCommerce, it isn’t calculating VAT (BTW in the Netherlands). It shows up as “incl. € 0,00 BTW”.

    I use these settings:
WooCommerce > Settings > General: Base location = Netherlands
WooCommerce > Settings > Tax > Tax Options: Enable taxes = checked
WooCommerce > Settings > Tax > Tax Options: Calculate Tax Based On = Shop base address
WooCommerce > Settings > Tax > Standard rates:
    * * * * 21.0000 BTW 1

I also saw that this note has been removed in the cart:

“Note: Shipping and taxes are estimated and will be updated during checkout based on your billing and shipping information”

And in the changelog that woo worked on the cart.php

And I also tested a roll back of version of woo + theme, but that didnt solve the problem.

Bug only seems to appear on a fresh install. other shops I have with same woo version are fine.

    please help!

  • When I view the table, I see the message: MySQL returned an empty result set (i.e. zero rows).

    The link above has expired.

I found this plugin — Tax Rate Upload. I installed it. I downloaded a csv file for the taxes I need and uploaded them to my website via the plugin. I now see the table. I went to the WooCommerce settings and resaved all the tabs involved with taxes, but I am not seeing that tax is being calculated yet.

jkriester, can you please upload the file again, so i can download it?

    thanks..

Hi guys, any updates on the file? I’m having the same problem, spent the last week trying to figure it out. Sent WooThemes a ticket but no reponse. This is my last hope! ??

I wanted to apply a flat rate for all purchases. I am in US, so I added US in the first tax column, then my state in the second column. lorro suggested I put * in the state column and all works for me.

Not sure if this will help anyone, but it helped me.

Good luck… and post what works for you when you get it working. It’s apparently a fairly common problem for many WooCommerce users.

Thanks BenlEllis, I tried installing that plugin but it still doesn’t add up any tax, it just gives zero. (for example £84.21 (Includes £0.00 VAT). It’s bizarre!
I will keep trying and when I finally get it working i’ll post my fix on here.

Hi, Can someone help me with this: I translated the wp commercial theme which includes Woocommerce and after transfering the po and mo files in language file, this ¨Note: Delivery and taxes are estimated%s and will be updated during checkout based on your billing and shipping information.¨ is all over my website. In Dashboard menu instead of Tabs, Portfolio, Sliders and Contact Form there is this Note, if I click on my theme name there it is, on single product page instead of Description and Reviews.. And I really don’t know where is the problem and how to fix it.
