Tax Rates are Not Showing

Thanks for your message and for attaching a screen shot. Tax rates must be configured from the apposite back-end page of VikBooking, and then they should be assigned to your rate plans (“Types of Price”), as well as to any additional extra fee or option.

If your current rate plan called “Standard Rate” is showing no tax, then it’s probably because no tax rates were assigned to that type of price.

We suggest editing the type of price called “Standard Rate” to make sure a tax rate is assigned to it. This way, the system will probably calculate the proper amount of taxes according to your configuration settings, which can define your rates as tax exclusive or inclusive (before or after tax).

I perform the steps that you are telling me and the Tax Rates are showing, but:

1- Now its not showing the 16% of Tax in the Tax Rates Colum

2- The Total Price is not adding the Tax Rates.

Please Can you guide me on this issues as well.

Thanks for the screen shot. We now see the tax columns displayed in the booking summary page have values greater than zero. This means that your rate plan “Standard Rate” was correctly assigned to a tax rate.

The page will simply display the calculated amount of tax rather than the percentage value applied. Also, in the Configuration settings of VikBooking you will find an option to define whether your rates are inclusive or exclusive of taxes (before or after tax).

If you wish to apply 16% of VAT/Tax over your listing rates, then you should use the page “Global – Configuration” and disable the setting called “Prices tax inclusive”. This way taxes will be added on top of your listing rates. Otherwise, just like how it’s currently happening in your case, taxes will deducted from your listing rates. Most European countries always enter their listing rates inclusive of taxes, but that setting will let you control this calculation method.
