Tax rates are wrong, where do they come from?

    Where do the tax rates come from because they aren’t correct. When I select Ontario it does 13% HST which is correct, but Quebec QST is 9.975% and GST is 5% but the plugin only does 5% GST and misses all the provincial sales tax. Same with other provinces, all it adds is 5% GST and misses all provincial. It also only shows Tax as just 1 total vs PST vs GST. Just wondering where it gets the rates from as if it thinks that QC tax is 5% that’s completely wrong…

    Thanks for getting in touch. The rates are retrieved from the TaxJar API. As TaxJar’s documentation puts it (using Quebec as an example):

    If an order is shipped to Quebec but the merchant doesn’t have nexus in Quebec, only 5% GST is collected.

    Does this address your concern, or do your particular needs call for collecting QST?
