I’m just a disabled person trying to start/run a home biz providing some services & selling some crocheted products.

That being said I was afraid to add my home address to Woo & added a PO Box instead. But, I live in the country & as such may get a cheaper sales tax rate? Should I be using my home instead?

I added this plugin so I wouldn’t have to deal with taxes. Under standard rate it only lists my town/state. What are reduced & zero rates even for? It lists nothing under either one.

Then we got shipping. I live on a fixed income & can never afford to buy ink. So I can’t print my own labels. So the only thing I can do there is add packages that I have here to use. If I add them there, do I have to add them to shipping classes too? Or, since I’m not printing labels, should I just leave this WooCommerce Shipping tab alone & add packages to the shipping classes?

    Thanks for any help. ??

PS: Oklahoma says that if you state shipping & handling charges separately from price of item(s), you don’t have to charge tax for shipping & handling. From what I can see they’re separate. Is that correct?

Thanks again for any help. ??

    Hi @katmerriwick,

I added this plugin so I wouldn’t have to deal with taxes. Under standard rate it only lists my town/state. What are reduced & zero rates even for? It lists nothing under either one.

We are not tax experts, so it is good to consult with a tax expert in your area to confirm you only need to collect taxes from your town/state. It sounds right, but it is good to be 100% sure.

If you are not printing labels you do not have to activate/fill that area out – just box the items up normally and be sure to get the labels at the post office.

When Automated taxes are in use, this overrides any tax rates you have manually added for locations where you have a tax nexus, as well as the “Compound” and “Shipping” toggles for those tax rates.

    More on this is here.

I hope this helps! If you have further questions let us know.
