I created some taxonomies through cpt ui but for some reason lately I can’t see them in the admin panel of the posts. what could be the problem?

Is it possible you visually hid the panels for them, via screen options?

I dont think so, since the problem occurs after I imported the taxonomies from the CPT UI using this guide https://www.advancedcustomfields.com/resources/post-types-and-taxonomies.

I noticed that when I create a new taxonomy, it shows up in the post. But the ones I imported don’t show up.

To be certain, are you saying you exported settings from ACF, and tried to import into CPTUI? Wanting to make sure on this because admittedly we don’t have any import functionality around settings from other plugins. We have CPTUI => CPTUI in between installs, but nothing for others.

Also we don’t have anything around importing of terms in the taxonomies, we let other plugins/tools handle the exchange of content created with the content types.

Same problem here. I used to be able to see and select taxonomies in the page editor without a problem months ago. But not anymore. I haven’t changed anything (I haven’t even logged in to the backend of this website for months).

I tried updating everything (WordPress, plugins and theme), but still the same.

I also checked that none of the panels are disabled in the “Preferences” menu of the page editor.

I’m also using ACF, but haven’t changed anything on ACF either.

    Any clues?

I feel like something must have changed somewhere on the site, as we haven’t had many released updates, and what releases we have had haven’t been very monumental in changed behavior or how things are done.

To be certain on everyone’s part, you’re saying you can’t add terms from the taxonomies when you’re editing one of the posts that has the taxonomy associated? The entire metabox is gone? Or the metabox is there but the terms aren’t showing as being selected? Something else?

@tw2113 Thanks for the answer. I discovered that it was the “Disable everything” plugin that started to create this problem and others. You can close this, sorry for the trouble.

@yoniseo is it possible that you’re also using https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/disable-everything/ like @migueltic is?
