I have asked the Blubrry dev team to look at this thread. A response will be posted here as soon as they’re available.

    Hello @upplifter,

Please go to the normal PowerPress Settings > Services and Stats tab, make sure there are no redirect values entered here. If there are, the taxonomy redirect may be overwritten with this one, which acts as a global redirect.

Are any of these taxonomies parents or children of other taxonomies?

    Thanks,
    Angelo

    Thanks for the reply.

Afraid it’s negative on the two suggestions.

    1. Checked PowerPress Services and Stats tab, nothing in the redirect URL field.
    2. Checked my 3 taxonomies. Edited each one to make sure the Parent drop down is already empty. So no hierarchical relationships existed in my taxonomies.

I won’t mind giving you temp access to my WP backend if it helps.

    Hello @upplifter,

Please do not share login information, for security reasons we cannot work that way. If it gets to a point where we need access, we would setup something like gotomeeting so you are present when we are looking at your site.

I am doing some testing in our sandbox to see if I can replicate the problem. I did trace through the taxonomy code, technically each taxonomy has a unique ID set by WordPress, that is the ID we use to get the taxonomy podcast settings, the fact that the other 2 taxonomies are using the 3rd taxonomy settings is baffling.

    Thanks,
    Angelo

    It is baffling indeed!

Here is what I found out with more testing:

For Happy and Chill Pills taxonomies (IDs 7 & 8 respectively), PowerPress is not even looking at their respective redirect URLs. It’s using Calm Pill taxonomy’s (ID 9) redirect URL.

    Case in point:

The only reason this erroneous enclosure URL appeared in happy pills podcast feed:

    https://media.blubrry.com/calmpills/media.blubrry.com/happypills/www.uppmixes.com/wp-content/uploads/pills/Uplifting_Pills_-_Happy_Pill_17_-_Playing_By_Heart_54948B1A-452D-403D-B7E3-99430E55B10A.mp3

is because on that album, my MP3 path was set to

    https://media.blubrry.com/happypills/www.uppmixes.com/wp-content/uploads/pills/Uplifting_Pills_-_Happy_Pill_17_-_Playing_By_Heart_54948B1A-452D-403D-B7E3-99430E55B10A.mp3

When I removed the “media.blubrry.com/happypills/” from the MP3 path, the enclosure URL changed to the following:

    https://media.blubrry.com/calmpills/www.uppmixes.com/wp-content/uploads/pills/Uplifting_Pills_-_Happy_Pill_17_-_Playing_By_Heart_54948B1A-452D-403D-B7E3-99430E55B10A.mp3

This is despite the fact that happy pills taxonomy does have a redirect URL set.

    This defies logic ??

Update: I worked around this bug by removing my redirect URLs from all 3 taxonomy feeds settings and hard coded the appropriate redirect URL in each post’s MP3 path.
