team / league selector in custom signup form

  • I am using a custom registration form to register new users (which will be players). I would like to add the team selection combo box in the registration.
    There is a “Add a team selector to signup form” on the player settings of sportspress, but it doesn’t work on the custom registration form.
    Is there a shortcode for that, or a code snippet to add this field (actually would like to add the league selection too).
    The idea is that a new member (player) can select his league and team when creating a profile.

    Thanks for reaching out and I’m sorry for the trouble.

    Unfortunately, that option will only work with the default WordPress registration form. For a custom form with a team selection field, you’ll need more custom code than we can provide.

    As you said there is custom code that you can provide, would it be possible to get the code?

    Hi @maxximme,

    Why you don’t use the basic WordPress sign-up form and add their the additional fields you want? That way you can use the Team selector option.

    The reason I use a custom sign-up is that I use a free plugin for the memberships. I know there is the one from ThemeBoy, but it’s not free and all the costs add up at the end.

    Often even free plugins allow the regular user registration to be used. But it’s unfortunate that his isn’t the case for the one you are using.
