Technical Expertise for WP.org

  • I am considering using wp.org for a commerical weblog. I need to understand what technical skills and degree of difficulty are involved in working with wp.org

    My fundamental question is should I try to handle the technical aspects myself or would I be better off working with someone who provides that service

    Things like working with plug-ins; blog page design with content and ads seem like they would be daunting.

    Generally, I am a competent user but certainly not a power user (enjoy blogging on wp.com;but havn’t altered templates). Uploading to a host service would be no big deal.

    However I am a bit of a technophobe. When I touch code, I consider it a disaster in the making.
