• Just curious, does linking to the technorati cosmos of a post, as the semiologic plugin does, confer any seo value to the page that supplies the link? I know that tagging has SEO value, but what about this?

I’m asking not just because I’m an SEO hound but because I have so many little links attached to each post that I need to be judicious in what I add, and I’m not sure that the technorati cosmos will be so useful on its own so if it has no seo value it’s not worth it.

  • I doubt if it makes any noticeable difference either way. The same with tagging.

there’s no value at all, unfortunately. Last I checked, technorati’s robot.txt was set to not index tag pages.

But doesn’t it help you get indexed by Technorati (and presumably get traffic from Technorati users)? The CosmosLink, meanwhile, is one-way, right?
