Telegram link preview not appearing

    I am using Yaost SEO, and I’ve set all appropriate meta tags after making an post/article, but whenever I paste the link in Telegram, there’s no preview.

    We understand that you are noticing issues with the link preview not showing correctly when sharing on Telegram. This issue occurs when the Open graph meta tag is not outputted correctly within the source code or when duplicate open graph tags, or due to any restrictions with the Telegram bot from accessing the open graph meta tags.

    Thanks for sharing the URL. When we checked the page?through?Facebook’s Sharing Debugger Tool, it reported some errors related to your SSL, which is why the open graph tags aren’t being read properly by Telegram. See the screenshot for your reference: https://ibb.co/5K1jxBr

    SSL error: Can’t validate SSL Certificate. Either it is self-signed (which will cause browser warnings) or it is invalid.

    This is an issue with how the SSL Certificate works on your site/server. We suggest you contact your host provider for more information as your hosting provider needs to fix this issue. When this error occurs Facebook is not able to scrape the page contents as the SSL is not able to get validated by Facebook.

    We suggest you resolve the SSL issue with your host provider and see if Facebook shows the right preview afterward by testing it out in the Debugger tool. For your information, some of our users in the past having similar issues were able to resolve by fixing the SSL certificate as prompted by Facebook.

    @josevarghese I have sorted out the SSL thing and Facebook debugger shows fine results, but Telegram still doesn’t show anything

    Strange, it took 6-7 hours for the preview to start appear after fixing SSL.

    Thanks for informing us that the social preview is loading fine when sharing on Telegram after sorting out the SSL issue. I also tested it on my end and confirmed it works fine.
