Temp Block Ip if ogPipe & ogShow in URL

    Hello,

    On one of my sites, I have recently started to get “attacked” and the common denominator is that either the words ogPipe and ogShow are stated within the URL, is there a way to automatically temp block the Ip when this happens please.

    If you Google these terms you will see they are attributed to many abuse attempts.

    Hi, do you know what is the IP address for each of these sites? If you do know, then you can add the IP address in the following Blacklist Manager -> Enter IP Addresses: field.

    Hi,

    The issue is that they are using different IP’s, I suppose i could work my way through the 404’s and do it that way, but i was hoping for a more automated solution to try and put a temp block on for the time period set in AIOWPS, as these are probably dynamic IP which could be use by valid individuals at some time….

    Hi John, do you know if they all come from the same country? If they do then perhaps you can block the whole country especially if you don’t do any business in that country.

    You can also enter an IP range, if they all belong to the same IP range.

    Have you also tried entering a user agent string, if they are user agents.

    Hello,

    Just checked and today they seem to be coming from all over China and Russia, but previously i thought some were from Ukraine.

    There is no common user agent string either.

    Hi John, those are popular countries for hackers unfortunately. The reason why I say unfortunately is because there are many nice people that live in these countries who use the Internet like us and become victims by the actions of hackers..
