    That email is only sent to admins on your site, you can amend the email using this filter:

    ‘s2_subscribe_confirmed’

    And you can amend the recipients using this filter:

    ‘s2_admin_email’

    I dont quite understand the references above.

    I realise now that that email is only sent to admins. Is there any email that is sent as a final confirmation to the subscriber?

    No, there isn’t a confirm email to your subscriber, the confirmation is displayed on screen.
