Template for Twenty Twelve

Great plugin!

I would like to tweak the search results to match my theme — Twentytwelve.

I have a child theme, but I cannot seem to wrap my head around how to proceed.

I read the web page with the instructions, but it is not clicking with me.

Any help would be appreciated.
