    Hey guys,

My site is split by the Blog and the Portfolio.

The blog list page runs off of index.php while the portfolio list page is running off of a category-portfolio.php page.

However my problem is that if you select a client (subcategory) or discipline (taxonomy) it displays the looped results using the index.php and not the category-portfolio.php

Fair enough there’s nothing for the taxonomy terms to state that they are part of the portfolio category but all of the client sub-categories have Portfolio has their Parent Category. In relation to WordPress template hierarchy, how does it ignore category-portfolio.php and go straight to index.php?

Note: I’ve completely gotten rid of archive.php so I’m sure they’re reverting back to index.php
