template hierarchy question

    I created a page called “products.php” which is, according to template hierarchy, supposed to take precedence in showing the page. I am looking to take out everything under my tabs in the middle section for the products page with the exception of the side bar and posts. I created a new header template to include the new header.

    Why doesn’t it show the correct header?
