• Hi,

in the template customizer section i exported a template and have the .dat file.
But i can’t import it and receive first following (1.) information and later an (2.) error:

    1. WARNING: This will override all of your current settings. Are you sure you want to do that? We suggest geting an export of your current settings incase you want to revert back.

    After clicking ok:

    2. Error importing settings! Please check that you uploaded a customizer export file.

The file is a .dat file which i exported also from the customizer template section.

    Looking forward to your solution.
    Phil

  • Hey,
Thanks for messaging, Have you tried deactivating plugins? Or reverting to a standard theme?

    Hi,

    thanks for your quick reply.

I have deactivated all plugins, switched from child theme to normal Theme (Avada) and also switched to a standard Theme (Twenty twenty-one).

Still not possible to import the template .dat file.

Error importing settings! Please check that you uploaded a customizer export file.

ok, I can’t recreate your issue. Perhaps your server is blocking the file upload. I’ve not heard of anything else experiencing this.

Can you send me your .dat file so I can test with it? Perhaps it was corrupted on export do to some other plugin installed when you exported it.

But anyway, here is the link to the file (google drive):

    Hey,
Sorry about the delay. It appears there were two issues in your export file causing the import to fail.

You are using an emoji and when that data gets serialized it causes an issue you are also using a few characters that throw off serialization: ü

I’m working on some kind of a workaround for this.
